Air pollution, or “self-pollution” for that matter (people being the main cause of pollution) and its relationship with respiratory and heart diseases is indisputable. Analyzed as a risk factor for respiratory diseases it is second on the list. 

New treatments in idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis

Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) is a chronic fibrotic pulmonary disease of unknown cause affecting adults. IPF is one of the most aggressive interstitial diseases, having a progressive, relentless, and relatively rapid evolution towards an invalidating lung fibrosis that induces respiratory failure and premature death, typically within 4 years after diagnosis.
